Paper Airplanes

I remember when we were kids, we would make paper airplanes out of lined notepaper from our school workbooks. Things sure have changed... we have some great books in the store with all kinds of information, patterns and paper to make very cool paper airplanes. We had these books in before Christmas and could not keep them in stock. We have a new supply of the most popular books, so drop in to pick them up for future gifts.

Brie Bakers

Baked brie has become a favorite appetizer at parties and gatherings. There's something comforting about the smooth mild cheese combined with crisp crackers or fruit. Brie bakers are a great way to serve brie cheese and impress your guests! The baker controls the spread of the warm brie once cut and makes serving easier for you and your guests.

Some serving ideas.... slice off a thin layer from the top of a small Brie wheel, place in the baker and spread a generous amount of your favourite sweet spread, compote or chutney. Cover and bake for 15 minutes or until gently softened and warmed throughout. The cheese becomes soft and fragrant, delicious served with rustic chunks of baguette, crostini, fruit or crackers. Try adding some other taste sensations to the top of the brie before baking.....Black Pepper Lime Chutney (Roothams), JalapeƱo Pepper Jelly (Roothams)or Caramelized Onion Compote (Wildly Delicious)are just a few suggestions. All are available at Abbeywood's Emporium.

We also have lots of stock available in both the cream and red Wildly Delicious Brie Bakers. They really do make a wonderful gift. Drop into the store or you can order from our website.
